Lou Tonkin

Noticing sometime in late winter last year, I saw Lou on Instagram often works by candlelight. I wanted to capture this practice as purely as possible, with a simple portrait shot by candlelight. I chose film as the method for shooting this for a few reasons, I think the organic nature of film has a superior aesthetic compared to digital with regards to constant ambient light, I figured it would be a challenge given recitrocity failure and the limitation of frames. 10 taken exactly.
