Kaiser Chiefs - 20 years of Employment at Temple Newsam
It’s twenty years ago for me too, that I decided that I could make Music Photography part of my life in some sort of serious way. Twenty years ago that I first shot the Kaisers first at the Met, then a secret gig at the Josephs Well, there were two more years of hard work to be done for me, honing my skills before I bagged the title of Kaiser Chiefs tour photographer in late 2007.
So it was an honour and a joy to be back working for them again, I thin the last time was probably 2019, then they played Elland Rd.
Day one was soundcheck…

Which was closely followed by the big day itself, featuring the mighty Cribs, who I also shot for the first time twenty years ago, for Sandman zine, when they were supporting the Chiefs at the Met! So it is also always a great pleasure to photograph them too.

And then the Kaiser gig, which felt like coming home to be honest. The depth of experience we share together goes beyond any other artist I’ve ever worked with. I do hope so much that our paths cross again in this summer of KC celebrations.
